What is VIPAM?
As of October 1, 2026, the Venice Institute for Performing Arts Management (VIPAM) proudly manages and operates the Venice Community Center through a partnership with the City of Venice. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, VIPAM is dedicated to enriching the community through exceptional programming, responsible stewardship, and meaningful opportunities for residents and visitors to connect, learn, and thrive.
Founded in 2016 by Mike and Bonnie Hartley, VIPAM has become a trusted nonprofit leader in venue management and community engagement. Since assuming management of the Venice Performing Arts Center (VPAC) in 2017, the organization has expanded programming, strengthened community partnerships, increased audience participation, and enhanced educational opportunities. Through this work, VIPAM has demonstrated its ability to activate public spaces and create experiences that enrich the quality of life throughout the region.
For generations, the Venice Community Center has served as a gathering place for meetings, celebrations, educational programs, civic activities, and community events. VIPAM is committed to honoring that legacy while bringing the experience, innovation, and collaborative approach that have contributed to the success of the VPAC.
Together with the City of Venice, VIPAM is dedicated to ensuring the Venice Community Center remains a vibrant, welcoming, and accessible hub for residents, organizations, businesses, and visitors. By combining community-focused programming, strategic partnerships, and responsive management, we look forward to building on the Center’s rich history and strengthening its impact for generations to come.
